Weekday programming is provided for independent seniors 60 and above who have limited resources. For many of these older adults, Bethlehem is their primary social contact with the world. Here they find companionship, healthy activities and nourishment, and important information related to their health and well being.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, Bethhelem provides fellowship, meals, arts and crafts, fitness and health programming, music, cultural activities, seasonal events, education on consumer matters and personal safety, and spiritual enrichment and counseling. Day trips and overnight excursions introduce the seniors to interesting places and experiences.
Bethlehem offers a Homebound Program for seniors confined to their homes, as well as for caregivers. Services include counseling, education and referrals for such conditions as diabetes, Alzheimer's disease and other aging-related issues.
The service area of Bethlehem is South Atlanta - however all seniors are welcome regardless of where they live. Fulton County makes transportation available for seniors who live in the area of the county near Bethlehem.
